Key Benefits for Dirt & Moisture Control
| Feature | Benefit |
| Crush Resistance | Maintains its “scraping” height even in high-traffic areas. |
| All-Weather Use | PVC is naturally resistant to UV, salt, and oils, making it ideal for outdoor-to-indoor transitions. |
| Anti-Slip Surface | Even when soaking wet, the textured loops provide excellent grip to prevent slip-and-fall accidents. |
| Hidden Soilage | Can hold a significant amount of debris before it looks “dirty,” maintaining a professional appearance. |
Strategic Placement for Maximum Efficiency(Indoor and outdoor placements)
To get the most out of your spaghetti mats, think of them as the first line of defense in a staged entrance system:
-
Zone 1 (Exterior): Place a heavy-duty, unbacked spaghetti mat outside the door. This allows rain and heavy snow to drain away completely while removing the “bulk” debris (pebbles, thick mud).
-
Zone 2 (Vestibule): Place a backed spaghetti mat in the transition area. This catches finer grit and the remaining moisture.
-
Zone 3 (Interior): Follow up with a carpet-style walk-off mat to completely dry the soles of the shoes.
Maintenance Tips to Keep Controls Effective
A spaghetti mat only works if there is “room” between the loops for more dirt.
-
Daily: Give the mat a quick shake or use a vacuum with a brush head to remove surface debris.
-
Weekly: For backed mats, flip them over and shake to release the trapped dirt at the bottom.
-
Deep Clean: Power wash or hose down the mats monthly. Since they are made of vinyl, they dry quickly and won’t mold or rot.
Pro Tip: If you are using spaghetti mats in a kitchen or industrial setting, ensure they are “grease-resistant” variants, as standard PVC can degrade over time when exposed to heavy oils.
CUSTOMIZATION:
Maximum Length: The spaghetti mat comes in a roll of 1mx10m but it is easy to weld the pieces to form an entrance mat of any swidth or length.
Borders: Standard borders are unfinished and simply cut straight, but they look neat due to the fused structure of the vinyl mesh, which prevents fraying. If you need beveled edges for easier access with wheeled items, we can glue them at an additional cost to one or two opposing sides. However, these mats naturally lay flat and typically don’t require bordered edges unless you have specific use cases, like carts with small wheels.
Custom Shapes: We can cut rectangular shapes to your specifications, but you can easily make further adjustments yourself. When the mat is at room temperature, it’s soft enough to cut with a utility knife without sticking to the blade. Make sure to use a new blade for the best results.
Colors: Our standard colors are Blue, Gray, Black, and Brown. We occasionally have other colors, but these are typically from custom orders, and we might have extra rolls for other customers. Custom colors require a bulk order of 20-30 rolls and a lead time of about 3-5 months.
